OH YEAH!!

« on: August 28, 2005, 12:50:16 am »

Today i was about to install my lift when I realized i needed a tool I didn't have. So after get myself down I started to think. What about my wheels, i don't have money to change them. I like black and red wheels. So it came to me!

Why not paint my wheels. Its pretty risky but if worst comes to worst ill always just save up and buy better ones.

So i started the project. I painted the center caps first with Black enamel.
This is what it looks like.

Thats all i have so far on all four wheels. next I will be painting the actual rim. Im working a few designs and ill post some pics when i complete it. Im thinking black and red...

Also the blue light is a cop light i mounted under my truck. Now it looks like i have neons. LOL, one weird prerunner.

haha, not bad bro. have you thought about painting the majority of the wheel black with a sort of red pin stripe running on the outter lip of the wheel? that may look pretty neat ::shrug::

as for the under lights...... ive actually thought about this and found a safe, secure, and  non-rice way to go about this. i found these here > http://www.roundeyes.com/product_info.php?products_id=8372 < off a rock crawler site and they seem to be prety well done and illuminate pretty darn great. they dont pull hardly any current and there was supposedly someone who put 6 of these in their rig and left them on for 6 days straight and  the vehicle still had no sighns of drain when the guy came back to turn it on. i think i may do them on my truck once the body and everything is done.

Hey....that does look alright. I agree with Alex though, don't paint them all black, a stripe or something would look pretty decent!

I wonder how it'd look with the bolts painted red but that may not be practical

I never did color the wheel. So its staying like that. I did however find a good hook up/ sponser  if you will.

I can get any Mickey Tompson, American racing wheels for wholesale price. Which mean those mickey tompson classics, that cost $200.00 I get for the very small price of $50.00.  Now all i need is spare money.

*mike can't stop spending his money on gas and food*
