I choose the road less traveled

I guess I never new it was that bad over there. With the references to different Cali trails in some 4 wheel related mags I thought you must have a lot of wide open areas. kinda busted my bubble here. I think it's getting worse everywhere though. I have heard from some friends that N.M. has a lot of ORV areas. Maybe I'll get a chance to check it out some day. anyway, heres the last two pages of the rules from the Ottowa forest.

yea, well its not horrible but its certainly not getting any better. yet. there ARE lots of places to go but many of the wide selection of trails have been closed due to "enviromental" issues wich we all know is just BS for them to use as an excuse. although there are many closures, there are good people out there fighting against these tree hugging hippies. now dont get me wrong, i really could care less about these people but when they start bitching about lies of what is not happening and pointing the finger at us (the off roading crowd) its real easy. we are an easy target to point fingers at as we do make well use of these trails. anyways. i hope someday it gets better but its just a very slow process.

hopefully when you guys visit cali ill have more then enough places for you to keep you more then busy starring in aw. Shocked  Grin

It's the same prblem everywhere. I spent the day yesterday in the State Forest in Allegan, MI and at least 50% of the trails were closed to vehicles. They make a big deal about the land being "paid for by hunter monies" but all you see is shell casings and bear cans all around with bullet holes in everything that doesn't move but, the rut that I might leave is ruining our beautifull park Roll Eyes.
