I am considering doing the deckplate mod to my taco. I heard that is not recommended for supercharger trucks. Is that correct?

 and also, removing the silencer. can i do that with out haveing the deckplate mod?

well i was bored waiting for a reply and went ahead and caped off my silencers. My truck now has a lower tone to it. tomarrow im going to do the deckplate mod and a few other modifactions to my air intake. My gain some horses,  Driving and gas mileage.

Haha...sweet. Yea, all that should happen is you're gonna have a throatier sound in your intake, especially at full throttle...it sounds good.

sorry bro, meant to reply earlier but my comp froze in mid post  Angry

as i was saying, the deckplate mod will definately increase your power but you risk running real lean if you dont upgrade some fuel mods like the ones found at WWW.URDUSA.COM ask Gadget, he will steer you in the right direction for more power and a more happier running truck without breaking the bank. if you think your truck is fast now........   Roll Eyes add some of Gadgets stuff in there and get a glued to the seat of your pants change in the way your truck could run.

as youve already heard, the truck does sound throatier with the silencers blocked off. but one thing i forgot to mention with S/C applications, the S/C becomes louder!  Grin you can hear the gear whine alot more clearly and will you definately enjoy how it will sound! did you cap off the lower elbow and top front box? or just removed them entirely?

Yea...there is tons of stuff for supercharged trucks at www.urdusa.com. If you didn't go broke putting on the s/c....this site might be the finishing touch on your checkbook!

belive it or not... the super charger was free.
the guy i bought the truck from was my momst good friend. only had about 9000 miles on it. he has too much money and threw in the s/c for free. Biggest joy of my life!

I hate you....I have had DREAMS that UPS came to my door with a big box that said TRD on it and it was a supercharger.

im laughing my ass off over here!!!!!! Cheesy theres always that tradeoff i guess  Grin dont feel bad though, cus in the end, you are really only paying 3 to 5 dollars more at each fill up. trust me ive done the math. but yea, i hate you as well......... id love more then anything to have my red tacoma back in my garage, paid off, lifted, and s/c 'd with all the URD goodies while still having my 84 to play with. Cry
