Im going to buy a Camburg Suspension lift, but i found out it might void my warranty. Does TRD make a suspension lift thats higher than the stock one? This way i won't void my nice big warranty i spent so much money on...

I dont think Trd makes a suspension lift at least I have never seen one.  As far as the camburg setup that shouldnt cause any problems with warranty.  Are you talking about the coilovers?  Or do you want to put the upper a arms on as well.  Either way it is only bolt on parts and if you did have a warranty claim you think might get denied because of the mod you could just bolt the stock parts back on.  I do know that a lot of toyota dealerships are putting coilovers and aftermarket wheel tire set ups on tacomas and this does not affect the warranty.

If you are going to head in the coilover direction you should also look into the Donahoe set up.  If you go on Wheelers offroad you can find some good deals for a entire lift package.  (Coilovers, Upper a arms, Rear AAL or leaf pack and some rear shocks)

Yea, no TRD lift. I guess it mainly depends on the dealer you go to for warranty. If one says it'll void it try driving down the road and seeing what the next one says. My dealer fixed my steering pump under warranty even after they determined the cause of the problem was my 33" tires. Or so say they. They fixed a leak I had in the cab under warranty when they said my body lift was at fault. And if a body lift doesn't void warranty, some a-arms and coilovers definitely should not.

If you bolt on something, it's only going to affect the warranty of what you bolt on, like if you bolt on coilovers and your rear-leaf spring cracks, they're gonna replace that.

Do you have a new-warranty? I believe they are a lot stricter on used car warranties.  Roll Eyes

The Donahoe coilovers are just the big name BLING on the market.  I am sure any aftermarket coilover set up will run great on your truck.  In fact if you are looking into full kits I would check out All Pro Offroad I hear good things about them.  Wow I mean the choices are endless on what you can do if you have a few grand to throw around.

New brakes already? How many miles are on your Taco? I got 40k and my brakes are still stopping on a dime.

Vosy is right, though, I have been just mentioning Donahoe's coilovers, which are about 900-1000 just for the parts. There are a few other companies like SwayAway (SAW) that make coilovers a little cheaper (in the 700 range I believe)

Also...anybody that has a few grand to throw on their truck should forget coilovers all together and go for the solid front axle, lol!

Well, I'm shopping right now for the best deal on a "complete" package including, coilovers, rear leafs, shocks and, A arms. If I was 2 go with SFA that would be 2K by itself and still wouldn't address the rear so... coilovers it is for me. I'll let you know how I do with my shopping. I have my brother looking thru his suppliers (he has an auto repair shop) to see if he can get me a "deal". I plan to have it done for the meet in Cali.

Yea me too. 41K miles and brakes are still great.

Yea coilovers are not cheap.  Just to give you a heads up a guy over on TTORA just posted some Donahoe Coilovers and camburg A Arms for 1300 new.  I am not sure if that is a deal or not after shipping but no sells tax.  I think you could get about the same from Wheelers off road no sells tax and shipping paid.  Just thought I would give yea a heads up.

warranty is only voided to the parts you installed. warranty will also only be voided if the part in question is directly in affect due to the non-factory part. on top of wich, they have to prove that the part you installed that is non toyota had a direct effect on the part needing warranty. but like matt said... if you lift it and say you blow a power steering pump, it is not affected.

my freind just did a set of racerunner coilovers with rear shackles and a set of 5150 bilstine's and is in process of ordering his front upper a-arms from camburg. his coilovers were $615, shackles were $60 bux, and his 5150's i think were $214...... now his upper a-arms are gonna be $430. not cheap upgrades done all at once but very well worth it!!!!!  Grin hi truck rides awsome!
