quick update:   I recently decided to take off the bug deflector that came with the Taco, the metal tabs that hold it in place seemed to be scratching the heck out of the paint.   Anyway, certainly not scientific, but one fillup sample,  nothing really different about driving conditions and it eeeked out 21.04 mpg.   It possible I guess that those deflectors are enough wind resistance for ~0.25 mpg.   Ive stopped logging for the most part but will watch it for next few fills to see if its a trend.

Either that made the difference, or maybe  the TRD retro shift knob i put on it did.   Wink
