Thank you mytacoma.   Although I am not new to toyota trucks (having a junker 70's hilux, and then a new gen1 4runner in the 80's), Ive been away for a while in the US fullsize rigs.   This site was instrumental for me in my decision to get a taco when it was time to retire the 6500# f350.  So, thanks everyone for good info. When i drove the taco 6spd, it brought back  fond memories of the old 4runner, but with a lot more improvements.   Although 90% of my driving is commuting, I really do use/need  the TRD O/R features to get to my backwoods camp,   the taco is 'jeepy' enough to do it.    I added 265/75/16 reveo-II's, they fit, ride, look great.   I also added a K&N, and ngk iridium plugs.   I was impressed by mpg so far, hovering 19.4 - 20.2 mpg  in mixed driving.   Im trying a tank of evil-ethanol-free gas now,  it 'looks' like it is going to do even better,  I'll report at next fill.

Yea, they're great little trucks. If Toyota would bring back an old school FJ they could run jeep out of town
