I choose the road less traveled

Yea but, when mine came loose I thought it was a fender bolt or a loose skid plate because it squeeked a bunch when I was on a bumpy road but I didn't really notice it sitting still. That is, untill I disovered what it was, then I was suprised I hadn't noticed it sooner.

Dropped the ole girl off at the shop. And the rear CAT was starting to break up. Pulleys checked and they were ok. New belts. The noise has returned but the noise is more forward.  I am thinking that it could be the front CAT.

How do i tell if I have a California emission vehicle? Do I need the Cali CATS?

I am so sick of messing with it.

sounds like you have 2 different problems...if the noise is only there whhen the truck is moving...you need the suspension and drive train looked at, if the noise is there when the motor is running and the truck is'nt moving and the noise changes with the RPM's... then look at the pulleys and A/C comp, BTW a leaking compressor wont cause the noise.

Dan you may be on to something. It does not make the noise while running and sitting. Can you tell me more about the drive train?

Have I mentioned that I love my truck....but she is making me really unhappy.

front wheel bearings go bad on the tacos, could just be a u-joint in the drive shaft, things like that. can you tell if it coming from the front or the back? does the noise change with te speed of the truck? does it change when you let off the gas or accel?
