I have been looking at a one inch body lift for my runner and everywhere says that the 96 runner has ten body mounts, but every time I crawl under my truck I only count eight. Are the last two hidden behind something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Help!

While I never owned a 4Runner they are very similiar to a Tacoma so 10 body mounts seems right, as that is what my Tacoma had when I did a lift on it. The "two" hidden ones are probably in the very very front, kinda on top of the bumper. See this pic from my Tacoma install. You'll see in the pic that these would be difficult to see with the bumper and grill attached.

actually I found those two mounts at the front bumper and the two mounts just in front of the front doors, The two mounts just behind the back doors, And the two at the back of the frame just before the rear bumper. 96 4runners where the the only runners released with 10 bodymounts,Which I think is over kill. On the tacoma it makes more since to have 10 seeings how the bed and cab are seperate, but the runner is all one piece.

A good kit should have directions. Try looking here http://www.toyota120.com/html/4crawler_body_lift.html
