The only thing i can suggest is a K&N filter, deck plate mod ( do a search ) and maybe headers and a performance exhaust. but the S/C will make the biggest differance.

I've never had my taco dyno'ed but i'm guessing about 75hp+ if you add all the numbers up. (the motor is rated at 190hp so that should be about 265hp but that is a guess) i know you can replace the injectors and fuel pump, all so chip the PCM. but i don't know the ratings on that.

You can realize some gains with the relatively inexpensive things Dan mentioned.  More air in and more air out with intake and exhaust modifications will bring out what is lost to emmissions concerns and it really makes more difference than you might expect.

I have dont the deck plate mod, instructions are under the articles section of this site. And I have a cherry bomb exhast. This difference is a little more kick in the pants.

I am going to save up for a supercharger and a 7th injector kit. I have heard both items bring Tacos to life.

It is suprising what a difference those two things make but, yea a supercharger will bring it to life.

I have pin pointed the noise. The rubber around the center support bearing was rubbing. I drenched the bearing with motor cycle chain lubricant and bam NO MORE NOISE. It is so nice and peaceful.
