does anyone make a 2" body lift for an 04 tacoma double cab..ive searched all over and only find 3"..i cant justify buying a 2500.00 6" lift kit when the most off road my truck sees is the roots along the side of my house from the trees..and all it does is sit all week long cause i have a company vehicle... if i drive down a dirt road i drive sslloowww and keep the mud off my truck...so yes..its more of a mall crawler pavment pounder than a woods truck hence my choice to do a body lift w/gap guards/covers.  i dont really want a 3" but if  thats all they make then it looks like im going to be stuck w/it...any input on this matter would be great Thanks in advance

A body lift is not the best choice even for a "mall crawler" but you may be able to get one custom made if you really want to go that route. Take a look a this page to see some of the pros and cons of what you are thinking. http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/BodyLiftKit.shtml

I would think a spacer lift coupled with a 1, 2 or 3" body lift would get you about what you are looking for and only cause you a few headaches.

If it's only for show a body lift is probably perfect because it doesn't change your stock ride, whereas spacers and add-a-leafs will. And if you do want to go off road the only downside is you won't be able to launch your truck in the air (due to the stress on the spacers when the truck hits hard)

mytacoma is right though. That is the only company I know of that makes a 2". PA's kit only comes in 3" for an 03-04 Tacoma.

Just out of curiosity, why not a 3"?

3" from PA worked great on my '03, check out my installation in the articles section and my pictures in my gallery. I was able to cover up the gap pretty well with some sliders from Stubbs.

I got a Ruff Country 3" suspension lift. The ride was a little stiffer then factory until I took it off road and now it is the same ride. I would go with a suspension lift. The 3" lift installed with an alignment was only $500. The ruff country kit has really good reviews from what I have found too.
