I have finally found the rims that I want. The dealer said that an 18 inch rim with 235/55R18 the backspacing is 5.71. I have a 2003 Taco PreRunner V6 with the TRD Off-road package. I want a 3 inch lift but I am not ready for that yet. Does anyone know what the max. backspace can be?

it's hard to say, you have a lot of variables, all you can do is try the wheels before you mount tires on them, that way if it doesnt work out you can  return the wheels.

I think your existing back spacing is 4-1/2" so 5.71 will probably be too much but I'm not sure. You may have to do like Dan said and test fit them to be sure. Maybe this will help.

Thanks. If you all had a choice of 18s or 20 inch rims what would you do? I am leaning more to the 18s since I do drive off road and I don’t want to loose much ride quality. And I didn’t see any pics of 18s or 20s. Anyone know if they look ghetto?

i have a revtek lift, but threr's alot to chose from and most are good quality so just type in toyota lift kits and you should find what yer looking for, as for the wheels i'm not sure i have axis wheels but they don't make them any more that i know of anyway.
