i am looking for some cheap wheels to put on my 01 for the winter so i don't get salt on my chrome wheels. so i was looking at some black steel wheels but i have heard that you need spacers to make them fit is this true?

Not if you buy them with the same back-spacing. You might also want to consider some used stock rims. They may be cheaper and lighter.

well see i was looking at getting some aftermarket ones because i may end up leaving them on if i like the look of them

Your current back spacing is 4-1/2". If you stick with that life will be easier. But, you can always get spacers if you need to. There is a post about them in this forum under "tires and wheels".

You must be somwhere close to me to be in salt country. I'm in Michigan so I'm way too familier with rusting vehicles.
