Want to feel like maybe you made more of a contribution to the site?  Post up some ideas and/or features you'd like TRDOffroad.com to support.

New things COULD always happen and it would be great to get some suggestions as to what you guys out there might want to see on the site.

How about a forum dedicated to Land use issues?Either one board or maybe sectioned off by region like Northwest,Southeast ect...? This seems to be the main topic these days.I myself am not involved with politics but I have been watching very closely what has been going on in the state of TN.They are about to open a statewide OHV Program which will open up as much as 1200 miles of trails to state public lands. And chartered clubs will be responsible for cutting, maintaining and policing the trails in their sector.(it's more detailed but you get the point)

That could be a good idea.  I know many of the forums I'm part of online, un-truck related, have sections dedicated to legalities and political issues related to the forums main theme.  They are generally the most viewed threads (outside of off-topic) and usually heavily debated.  Good times.

yea, this is a good idea! Another forum change we are planning is to split the news section into Site Updates and Announcements and the other to "General News" or something, haven't really thought of a good name for that one? "Industry News?"

Industry News to me would suggest news involving all of truck-dom, regardless of make.  Or at the very least involving all of Toyota.  Maybe just Toyota Truck News, which to me as a reader would tell me if I click there, I can find out whats happening in the world of Toyota Trucks and SUVs.

And what might be considered an announcement?  Just an overall general bulletin to the masses? For example Holidays, Event Notices, and Birthdays?

No, not holidays or events, more like if the site is going to be down, or a page has been updated, new content added, etc.

Another suggestion I thought of...  with all the rage is gas prices these days, and consumption monitoring, why not include a feature like that to our members?  If you go to www.YOURCITYNAMEgasprices.com, it's not a very good layout, but it has great features allowing you to track your gas purchases, MPG, cost, all that jazz.  With nice little graphs and comparisons to nat'l averages.  The math on that is pretty easy, but it may be something members could appreciate?

Hmm... the site is going to be down I could see... but if you have a section for Site Updates, non eed to post those updates in announcements.
