i bought a black 4x4 2004 tacoma manual and it's great!  havent taken it mudding yet.  haha.  now we're trying to sell the green prerunner.  i'll put up some pics up of the black 4x4 soon! anyone else have a manual transmission on their tacoma?

haha.  only problem right now is there's a squeak when i push in the clutch, and i dont know where it's coming from.  and there's a rattle inside the cab underneath the rear tip out window on the passenger side, which is going to drive me nuts!! haha

Hit the spring at the top of the pedal with some CRC Powerlube or the like.I do this from time to time for the same reason.

I've done that, but it seems like the squeak is more of the outside of the truck rather than near the pedal.

Try cleaning the boot and lube the slave cylinder.

It should be easy to get to.It's on the drivers side towards the firewall on the trans.Just follow the line from the master cylinder.You may have to take off the apron seal to get better access.

I might try the #70 spring trick, IF that's where the squeak is coming from.  Although I don't think it's coming from there.
