I will be starting to actually do some work on this.We finally got Tim's old '81 stripped and hauled off.So now I can move my project over to Bill's shop and get something done.
1. thing to do,is to weld the rear cab mount brackets on,remove the BL and install new bushings
2. will be making mount brackets for the trans x-member,then install the bucket seats so I can cut the hole for the second shifter. Then install the doublers, twin stick and trans
3. will be to secure the temporary fuel source.
4.weld the sliders in place

If I can get this stuff done I'll be good to go.The propane will have to be one of the last things I do.The cost of doing the exo-cage is going to be close to wiping out my build budget. The price of steel just keeps going up and the fact that the part of the cage that surounds the cab has to be DOM. The back half and the front clip can be HREW or even poop pipe for all I care but the cab has to be all but indestructable.I don't want to be second guessing my safety in that area.I will be rolling this rig there isn't one doubt in my mind about this.I have never rolled but my time is due and I want to be able to welcome it with open arms(as long as my arms are inside the cab) Grin
I will do what I can about taking pics but we are some of the worst when it come to documenting what the hell it is we're doing.

3 CAT scans an MRI and some time with the shrink. It's confirmed. I'm just not right in the head.

I finally got around and took some pics.

I got the bench seat out and started to mock the buckets to figure out what's needed for the rear mounts. The front is going to be very easy.I only have to cut off the lower part of the tabs and they'll bolt right up.The back part I need to figure out and it shouldn't be a problem, just time consuming.

I got the bucket seats mounted, primered the frame and started sanding some of the body panels.I also got the measurement for the sliders but ran out of time,so I'll cut them and moch them up this weekend.

I've been busy and still managed to get some work done.lol I have some awesome friends!! With the cost of fuel I don't get to work on my rig as much as I would like to.Bill(cc89iroc),Eric(rocktoy/94krawler)John(4xfred) and Tim did some work on my rig last week. Cool Bill and Eric installed the w56 tranny and the doublers.Eric fabbed up the rear drive shaft while Bill made the temporary mount for the fuel cell which will convert very easily to mount the propane tanks once I get the final pieces to complete the kit.(screw gotpropane.com) The kit will have only cost me about $300+ tanks when done.John and Tim removed the 3"BL and did some cleanup stuff to help me get it ready for our friend Finster to paint.

This past weekend I did some traveling to pick up some parts.I got a used set of 35x14.5 Swamper TSL's then went over to Grandpa's(trailtoy) to pick up the dual t-case x-member.So this weekend I should have the cab secured to the frame.I need to make two mounts then the sliders can be welded on.And the drivetrain should be completed.

I have been very lazy lately. Grin But I showed up at the shop last weekend with every intention of getting stuff done. Got out of the gate quick but just as we were finishing the last cab mount we realized we were Mig welding without gas Embarrassed lol And since it was late Sat eve we weren't going to be getting the tank filled. So we stopped since everything that needs to be done involves welding.

I did however manage to get my hands on a set of 4.88 gears with Detroit lockers the extended brake lines I need and a spare set of Birf's. I'm supposed to get the tank filled and get more wire for the welder and I hope to get a lot accomplished over the next couple of wknds.

Fuel cell is finished.I'm waiting on the front U-bolt flip kit and the adapter plate for my twinstick from Front Range Off-Road.So next weekend we should be able to get the rear suspension finished up.
