Darkness is death's ignorance and the devils time

« on: March 26, 2007, 11:48:57 pm »

after a 6 week down period, my runner has come back to life better then ever. with the teardown, i also installed a new t-chain with some good steel guides, LC cam, resurfaced rockers, LC balanced injectors, a hot tank cleaned intake with no crap growing in it. i also took some measures to prevent more crud from the EGR passing in it and made a restricted plug for the EGR port.

with all these little mods, the truck runs real smooth, real strong now! im definately happy with the results. i can now move on to mod a few other things i had been waiting on. heres a nice engine bay shot of how it looks. notice i did get bored one night and revamp the valve cover and top of the intake with a scotch brite rotary pad, LOOOTS of masking tape time and some black rustolium.

That looks sweet! If you have anymore spare time "cough cough" feel like doing the same to my motor. Grin
Glad to hear it's back on it's feet.

I can't wait to have my truck. I'm going to keep it clean and simple like that as well.

yea. ive found that it dont take much for the truck to get me places i wanna go...... sometimes even places i shouldnt be in. lol

keep it simple and reliable. thats the trick. unless you wanna go full built trail rig only, your DD should stay simple to keep it reliable.
