Where are some good places to learn more about desert racing? I want to learn about suspensions and chassis and all that other good stuff (especially stuff specific to Tacoma's). I'm frustrated trying to just dig through a lot of general off-roading topics and trying to find desert specific information. I've been a "gearhead" for quite a while but it's always been muscle cars and sportbikes. . .now that I've taken an interest in desert racing I'm having more difficulty finding information about what's available, who's out there, and what can be done (Tacoma specific). I've located some manufacturer's and retailers on the internet (Camburg, Chaos Fab, Demello Off-Road, Donahoe Racing, etc.), but I'd like to learn more about the general technical stuff dealing with it so that I can make informed decisions when it's time for me to start making modifications. I want to minimize the number of times that I end up getting something and then as I learn more information find out that I got the totally wrong thing or set-up for what it is I want to do.

Thanks for helping out someone who's new to the Off-Road hobby and Tacoma's!!!
