The new owners at Butler Speedway are re-opening the mud pit and will be having the first run on Nov. 11th. If all goes well this will be a monthly event starting next spring. i will post the rules as soon as I get the details or you can check the track site. They will make an announcment and post the event in the next week or so.

Butler Speedway Mud Bog Sunday November 11th

RULES
Class 1 Street Stock 38.5 & Under D.O.T.                                     

Working lights on all four corners
No gutting or stripping                                                   
Must have working brakes                                                                   
May run suspension and or body lifts                                                     
No high riser intakes or aluminum heads.                                               
Mufflers mandatory. Headers O.K.                                                       
Pump gas only. NO Alcohol, NO Nitrous Oxide, NO blowers, factory injection only                                                     
Must meet all equipment and safety req.                                               
All factory body panels. Must have doors, tops and bumpers front and rear.                                                                 
Original type glass in windows.                                                 
Factory type engines                                                                             
Chassis and axle must coincide with body style                         

Class 2 Street Stocks over 38.5 D.O.T.                                           
Rules same as Class 1 except tire size               

Class 3 Street Mod 38.5 & under                                                     
Must be stock appearing bodies, (meaning fiberglass O.K.)                                                                                                       
Pump gas only, No alcohol, nitrous oxide, blowers etc…                         
Fan shrouds required                                                                             
Rear hook point for tow out required   
Aluminum intakes allowed, open headers o.k. gutting and stripping o.k., do not need working lights, must have working brakes, must run doors and tops.         
D.O.T Tires only

Class 4 Street Mod over 38.5 D.O.T
Rules same as class 3 other than tire size
No tractor tires, terra tires, dually or paddles     

Class 5 Open Class
Unlimited tire size and tire type
Drive shaft loops required                     
No ATV’s
Must meet all equipment and safety req.


Class 6 Rail Class
Cuts, paddles D.O.T.’s allowed   
Injection, nitrous, oxide, blowers and turbo’s allowed
Drive shaft loops required
Must have working brakes
Full cage driver protection required to meet safety standards
Single carbs only
Must have full fire protective suit. (Coat, pants, gloves, head sock, shoes, neck brace and helmet)
Must meet all safety and equipment req.   

Safety Rules

These rules where set up to insure a safe event to enable us to provide more in the future. Your cooperation would be appreciated. Any violation of the rules will lead to disqualification.

1.      Seat belts required in all classes, they must be secured to floor, frame or roll cage.
2.      Must have fully charged approved fire extinguisher with working 2 lbs.
3.      Use of eye protection, helmet, seat belts or harnesses are mandatory for all classes.
4.      All vehicles must have class 3 or rigid hitch point on rear center of vehicle and provide own clevis.
5.      No passengers permitted in any class
6.      All loose articles must be removed from vehicle before tech.
7.      Every open top vehicle or removable soft-top must have a mounted secured 4-point roll cage to frame or body.
8.      All drivers must wear closed toe shoes.
9.      All vehicles must have full firewall and floorboards.
10.  Vehicles batteries must be secured (If using rubber straps there must be two) if mounted inside vehicle, must be completely covered and secured to the vehicle.
11.  Must have lug nuts on all studs, within minimum of four per wheel.
12.  Vehicles with chain drives must have them shielded.
13.  All vehicles with open engine compartments running mechanical fans must have shroud enclosing the blades and any vehicle with exposed transmission bell housing must have scatter shield over the top of bell housing or have blow proof bell housing on manual transmission.
14.  All vehicles must have fuel lines run under sub floor of vehicle not exposed to driver.
