we need a chat room. its become recently apperent to me that we may be able to clean up some of these posts if unecessary remarks and such were redirected to a chat room or, "shout out" display atop of the forum sections kinda like here>  http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php

Yeah I have been getting off topic a bit, for example (2 or 3" lift). I probably could have started 6 different threads with that.. .. lol. But sometimes I'm not to sure If I should start another thread because the original topic kinda turns into different topics and it just snowballs.......and I'm sure my ADD's not helping anything.

my point exactly. seems like we tend to do this alot. but i notice it happens on any forum ive ever been on.

Great idea! I think Matt is looking into it. Also, it sucks when I am at work because I cannot log into my usual chat on aim or yahoo, but if we have one here on the board, I should be able to log on.

i do belive i had mentioned it to him and he said he was gonna work on that but im not sure. just figure id get some fire started  call it motivation in the right direction.

Well...I didn't know a HUGE site like Marlin Crawler uses the same FREE forum I use. Someone once told me if you're not using invisionboard or vbulletin your site just won't make it I guess that's wrong.

I couldn't find any chats (that were decent) but I guess there is some that integrate with SMF and I do like the shoutbox deal. I'll have to figure out how to install that.

Shoutbox is installed and ready to go, although I need to work with it a little bit to make it uniform with the site, be looking for it within the next week though! 

Still have yet to find a chat room that I like.

I think this would be a great for the boards. Everyone needs a place to just chat away and have no worries of being banned for post whoring . LOL . I dont like the idea of being punished for posting, I'm on all the time and I read everything on all boards. How come I can't post on everything?

I'm really confused!
