The East Coast 4Runner Jamboree '06 will be held from August 18-20 at Paragon Adventure Park in Hazleton, PA.

Mark your calendars, and schedule your time off from work now!

For those who have been before you know the deal. Hopefully this year will be the biggest ever. Planning got started sort of late, but things are underway and more info will be coming by the end of the week.

For those who haven't been and may not have heard about it, this event is pretty informal and is open to anybody with a 4WD Toyota, stock condition or highly modified. There will be guided trail rides each day for all skill levels, from first timers with shiny paint to old veterans with complete tube buggies.

More details will be coming soon, but here is some basic info:

*Cost will be $35 for one day, $60 for two days, and $80 for all three. (This is the park entrance fee only. There is no fee to attend the event).

*There will be a raffle of some sort (details are still being sorted out). There will be some pretty good prizes donated by national vendors and local shops.

*Camping will be about 10 minutes from the park at Red Ridge Lake Campground. Their usual rates will apply.

To register, simply send an email to EC4RJ@yahoo.com.

Eric of RightCoast off-road is running this years Jambo and has put in alot of effort. He has gotten some great sponsors for this years run BudBuilt and TrailGear have def stepped up for this one along with others. Hope to see some of you again and hope to meet some more of you see you there

Hey Sean. Good to see ya on!

From what I heard Paragon is even better than Rausch Creek and that place has something for everybody! This sounds like a great time I just don't know yet if I can make it happen. I still don'thave sliders and would sure want some to come back out there so I can use a little more of what my trucks got. I am supposed to be leaving for the U.P. on the 19th for a week up in the north woods and that is about 500 miles in the opposite direction so it's gonna be real tuff. I'll keep my options as open as I can and let ya know. If I can't make it well....have a great time!

I myself have never wheeled at Paragon. I've only gone to the NEUROC comps the trails are alot wider so they are somewhat fullsize friendly but even though they are only a short distance apart (paragon and rousch creek) it is different terrain. The trails are rated in the same fasion but Paragon's trails have dif ratings for the same class for example blues 1,2,3  blacks 1,2,3 it's gonna be a blast especially for those of us staying at Red Ridge campground for they are wheeler friendly they will hang and party with us.

AWESOME EVENT!!! We had a complete total BLAST! From the minute I pulled into the campground until the final clean up before leaving late Sun afternoon. We ran harder blues and lower blacks all weekend. Did plenty of carnage to my rig and had a big smile on my face while doing it Grin 1 bent slider 1 cracked corner light more body damage trashed the right side of my customised rear bumper and sheared off a center pin on a leafpack and lost the ADAL. We had to fix the leafpack on Sat night so I could make the run on Sun and got all kinds of help even from a couple of heepers they(Sean and Dave) made a parts run for me since they were already going there to get a u-joint for Sean's front axle. fourwd1 provided a couple of tools that were a big help Frank let us use his CO2 tank to operate the airgun someone let me use(there were a few offered and don't remember who's I actually used) Terry helped me with the labor but 4xfred did the hardest part of getting the u-bolts loose that was a major PITA. Our trail boss had a glove box full of center pins lol and of all things he had the ADAL that I needed so I made it out for Sun. The campfire activities were hilarious to say the least we were actually begging one guy to go to bed so we could stop laughing we were to the point of not being able to breathe. Pics will follow as soon as I can get my camera to co-operate.

Glad you had a good time! So, how does it compare to Rausch Creek?

It would be unfair to Rausch Creek since they have really only just got started to make such a comparason but Paragon has some very intense trails. Def wider but Paragon has more big rock type obsticles that are doable with mild lifted rigs but can keep the very modified rigs happy at the same time.

Rausch Creek is a blast! If I was out there I'd go there every chance I got. I just wanted a comparison not a rating. I'm sure both have something over the other but it's nice to hear peoples opinions.

So, did you get your truck back in shape yet? Bummer about your bumper though, you came up with a real good idea there, I'd hate to see it destroyed.
